| For all of you who insist on hating Republicans because of the war in Iraq:
McCain is right: It's the casualties that matter
New Hampshire Union Leader
June 13, 2008
THE DEMOCRATS' knee-jerk opposition to anything that Sen. John McCain
says about Iraq would be funny if the consequences weren't so serious.
McCain said on "The Today Show" on Wednesday that getting all troops
out of Iraq quickly was not as important as halting casualties there.
After all, we have troops in South Korea, Japan and Germany, he noted.
But they aren't getting shot at. It's ending the fighting, not ending
the deployment, that is most important, he said.
This is so self-evidently true that it shouldn't need defending. McCain
wants to end the war in Iraq while acknowledging that some U.S.
presence there might be justified for national security purposes for a
long time to come. He's said this for a long time now, and it makes
perfect sense.
But Democrats said his comments showed that he was out of touch with the American people who want troops to come home. Nonsense.
The American people want the war to end. McCain wants that too. But
he's sharp enough to understand that "bring the troops home," used for
years as a proxy for "end the war," is not really the same thing. For
political reasons, the Democrats are trying to pretend that it is. The
American people are smart enough to see through that dishonest trick.

| i can't stand how fucking liberal the people at my school are.
especially the professors.. they always try to push their ideas upon
the students, and its annoying but it never got me pissed until this
stupid class i'm in right now.. this guy is totally degrading and
mocking the works of the Bible.. and Catholicism as a whole.. and just
the belief in good and evil spirits, and God, and Jesus. and the
arguement thats being made is that we shouldn't believe that Jesus was
a healer, because that would not suffice nowadays. Of course it
wouldn't suffice nowadays.. Jesus was given the powers of God. Not just
anyone can heal and perform miracles like he has. But this discussion
is going on assuming that Jesus was just an ordinary peasant.
Liberals....

| man you know what pisses me off.. how nowadays, a girl can't be just
friends with a guy. i mean you can, but when you get close to a guy,
people are automatically gonna assume that you're hooking up with him.
WTF IS THAT SHIT. geez people, be a little more open-minded. sucks for
a girl like me who's friends are mostly guys. people think i'm hooking
up with all of them. maaaan u'r all wrong! it was annoying at first,
but it just got to the point where its just funny because that vision
of me that you jackasses have is SO FAR from who I really am. i guess i
can see why people jump to that conclusion tho. ya'll CRAVE for drama.
MEH! whatever makes the masses happy i guess. oh boy... heh
